The Bengalis, their tea and gossip sessions….

An adda or chat session — those seemingly endless informal conversations that are a legacy of the Bengalis. Sometimes, they take the form of a debate or brainstorming sessions in which anything and everything under the sun is discussed.

Almost four months after trams were taken off the tracks due to the coronavirus lockdown, services between Gariahat and Dharmatala have recently resumed. However, trams are running almost empty.
