Roadside Tea Stall

That used to be the typical friendly invitation of the quintessential Bengali gentleman to a friend or an acquaintance, once upon a time. Sadly, the Bengali gentlemen of these days are more inclined towards their sundowners than the simple old tea served in a small clay pot!

Here’s a fountain pen sketch of a roadside tea stall straight from the streets of the old quarters of Calcutta! Tea is a beverage that is healthy in limited quantities and it is an inexpensive beverage in these roadside tea stalls!
